People won't have a chance to head to the shops again until December

Shoppers are today mobbing retail stores across the country on the final day before Level Five lockdown.

The country is set to be locked down for five weeks with no chance to head to the likes of Penneys or Smyths again until December. A staff member of Penneys in Nutgrove Shopping Centre told the Irish Mirror on Monday that it was “absolutely mental” and they were struggling to deal with the queues.20/10/20 .Covid scenes at Smyths Jervis Street Dublin this afternoon..

“Luckily the company were great to us when we were shut the last time so I’m not too worried about money but I know lots of other people aren’t that lucky.”
