The Chief Medical Officer said there have been “too many stories” of people failing to self-isolate or restrict their movements.“There are too many stories of people with symptoms/waiting on tests and not self-isolating, also contacts not restricting movements.if we have symptoms of Covid-19 OR if we are awaiting a test result.
“Spread the word and make sure we all know what to do if we are a close contact of a confirmed case of Covid-19. Spread the message, not the virus.”1. Avoid contact with other people, especially older people and anybody who has a long-term health condition.4. Do not go to work, school, religious services or public areas.Dr Holohan added that people can stop self-isolating 10 days after the onset of symptoms and if they’ve had no fever for ten days.
