Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio gives timeframe for when season six will be wrapped up

Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio revealed bosses are hoping series six will be wrapped by Christmas - with the hope of a 2021 release.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the next series since filming was suspended just four weeks in back in March, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Speaking on a Q and A with RadioTimes, he added: “We are working towards a day and if we can get over all the hurdles we will be back filming.”“We’d love to be on air next year, so we really have to make sure we complete our filming before Christmas.”

“We’re looking at things like that, which are invisible changes, but we’d have to think very carefully about doing visible changes.”
