Peter Casey scored Limerick’s second goal in the 54th minute, but caught an injury in the midst of it, and was stretchered off and brought to hospital where the extent of his injury could be assessed

It was a tough match today in the Limerick vs Tipperary hurling face-off, with Limerick ultimately coming out on top thanks in part to a great goal by Peter Casey.

Limerick boss John Kiely shared an update on how Peter was doing after the match, and said that he hopes he will be back on the pitch sooner rather than later.“Devastation for Peter,” said the Limerick manager. “We will make sure that he will get the best of treatment. He has come back from a serious injury before and came back very strong. I have no doubt that Peter has the capacity to do that again. We would rather not have to see him do that."

“It hurts. It hurts the group very much to see that it has happened. We will rally around him and give him every assistance that we can. For the group, it’s a case of move on.
