Limerick GAA have been labelled 'tone-deaf' for launching a new jersey at a cost of €150 with the intention of it helping to fund a team holiday for their All-Ireland winning hurlers.
Shane agreed: "All funds raised will go directly to contributing to the Senior hurlers holiday fund' - At a time when there is a cost of living crisis ye are asking for money for a holiday fund for the lads. Talk about being absolutely tone-deaf." Lastly, Esther said: "I’m sure the GAA could sponsor a holiday for the boys. €90 per ticket for the All Ireland, not to mention all the other games too!"It read: "Limerick GAA launch Training Jersey to support Senior hurlers Holiday Fund
"Speaking at the launch player Diarmaid Byrnes said 'We know Limerick supporters are the best in the country and we have never been found wanting in terms of fundraising events. We hope you can support us and become part of our team'
