Rónan Kelleher makes his first appearance since September after recovering from a hamstring injury in time to line out against the Glasgow Warriors on Saturday afternoon .
Ross Byrne returns to the starting line-up as one of only three players who featured for Ireland in November in the matchday 23, Leo Cullen opting to rest the remainder of his international cohort with the visit of Ulster and the start of the Champions Cup campaign to come in the weeks ahead. Max Deegan, who played against Fiji, starts in the backrow alongside Scott Penny and Rhys Ruddock while Joe McCarthy is named at lock after making his international debut vs Australia.
Ruddock captains the side as Liam Turner, who lead the line in the recent friendly win over Chile, keeps his spot in the backline despite handing over the leadership role. He’s partnered in the centres by Charlie Ngatai as Rob Russell, Dave Kearney and Jamie Osborne complete the back three, the latter making his first appearance of the season in the 15 shirt. Luke McGrath partners Byrne at halfback.
In the front five, Kelleher is joined by Ed Byrne and Thomas Clarkson as Ross Molony joins McCarthy in the secondrow.
