James Ryan has undergone arm surgery and is in a race against time to make Leinster's Champions Cup last 16 fixture next month.
The second row suffered a bicep injury in what Ireland boss Andy Farrell described as a "freak accident" in training in the build-up to the England clash. In an injury bulletin released this afternoon, Leinster say that Ryan will be assessed "over the coming weeks regarding a return to play date".
Ciarán Frawley, who missed the final Six Nations game against the Scots after failing a HIA against England, is continuing to follow the graduated return to play protocols.
