“For me, the West End was such a big thing but I can also go home afterwards. It is only down the road. London is a big metropolis but also, its home. It’s cosy. I’ve got friends. And I’ve got real-life stuff — I go and do the supermarket shop. I do the nursery run. I walk the dog in the park. Then I can also go to the studio and film. There is so much going on. London is a creative hub.”

She said Derry Girls and Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan is “a really good friend of mine who is doing wonderful things. There are so many brilliant Irish people here — Sharon Horgan, Eve Hewson, Aisling Bea. Sometimes I gravitate towards Irish people.”
