A Laois woman has reflected on her relationship of over 40 years as she shared her advice for a happy marriage.
Sheila knew she and Michael were destined to get married, so she made the decision to pop the question herself. “Michael wasn’t surprised by the engagement, and he wasn’t disappointed that he didn’t make that move. He was surprised that I asked but we both knew an engagement was going to happen.” The couple will be celebrating 40 years of marriage next year, and the romance is very much still alive. She shared her key to a successful marriage.
