Keith Walsh's smoking addiction, mental health struggle, & miscarriage hardship

Former 2FM presenter Keith Walsh has made headlines this week after expressing his intention to take legal action against his former employer.

Discussing the challenges around trying to start a family, Keith shared that his wife, Suzanne, sadly had three miscarriages when trying for their second baby."It wasn’t really something we told anybody. I was trying probably, as a man, to play it down. It’s a weird thing that men try to do. My wife was very upset obviously at losing a baby and I would have probably tried to play it down – best foot forward, move on and let’s not dwell on it.

Explaining why he picked up the habit, Keith shared that growing up in the midlands, it seemed to be the only thing to do. He said: "Once I got into my early twenties I though 'I have to give these up'. Obviously the information was out there then ... I would've known they were bad for you." Keith's Mental Health Struggle As noted above, the Longford native had struggled with anxiety throughout his life.
