Katie Taylor 's first fight of 2024 has been made official, but some fans aren't happy that she is fighting on the undercard of Jake Paul v Mike Tyson.
Taylor and Serrano famously clashed at Madison Square Garden in New York City two years ago, with Taylor edging out a hard-fought win. The pair were due to fight in Taylor's Irish homecoming last year, but an injury to Serrano led to Chantelle Cameron taking her spot.Cameron and Taylor went 1-1 in their two fights last year, and a trilogy bout between the pair had been expected.
"It’s where boxing is headed but KT deserves better than being on a Netflix card headlined by Jake Paul," wrote journalist Will O'Callaghan on X. Plenty of other fans believe Taylor deserves more at this stage of her career: "Undercard to Jake bloody Paul? Wow the disrespect."
