When it comes to parenting, Kathryn Thomas is the first to admit she is far from having it all sussed out. As a mum to two girls under five, she is still learning as she goes — and she is completely fine with that.

To see it expanding the way that it has over the last couple of years, it’s been lovely. “I have never had a permanent, pensionable job so I have always freelanced, always been a bit like, coming and going.
“With both my girls, they stay dry. You have the odd poonami of course, who doesn’t?!, but basically they are fantastic.” “I don’t feel like I have to have all the latest gadgets. As long as they’re happy, clean, fed and breathing. “I remember getting really emotional putting all the baby clothes away and I hoped they would go to a new home some day, I didn’t know if it was going to be me, my sister or brother and then when we found out we were having another girl, I was over the moon that Ellie was going to have a sister and then to be able to repurpose all the things and see Grace in her big sister’s clothes, it’s just magic.
