Jurgen Klopp has urged Liverpool fans to "trust experts" and "ignore lies" in a rallying cry for supporters to be vaccinated.
Klopp's Liverpool face Newcastle United at Anfield on Thursday evening, with fears that further restrictions on social activity could soon come into place during the festive period. "We are clearly moving back to stricter measures around the team environment and at LFC we are absolutely OK with that. Klopp also affirmed that he 'would not apologise' for the view he holds on vaccines after sceptics were critical of his bullish message."If I come across friends or people I care about in my life away from football and they tell me they haven’t had a jab yet, I do my best to encourage them to listen to experts. It’s never a case of ‘listen to me’ – it’s always ‘listen to those who know’.
"While recognising a number of clubs are experiencing COVID-19 outbreaks, it is the League’s intention to continue its current fixture schedule where safely possible," a statement read."The Board assesses applications to postpone matches on a case-by-case basis, based on existing rules and COVID-19 postponement guidance issued to all clubs.
