Jordan Spieth will come into the Masters as one of the favourites - as the former champion looks to win his second green jacket nine years after claiming his first one

Jason Day has admitted that he was left incredibly impressed by Jordan Spieth 's attention to detail - a factor that helped him win three golfing majors by the age of 24.

Prior to the first round of golf played on April 11 at Augusta, players often complete a practice round - with young, up-and-coming stars usually looking to play with legends of the game. Day has since played multiple rounds with stars in the game, but recalled his afternoon with Spieth as a memorable one. In a USA Today survey, players were asked on who they have played practice rounds with, as Day responded: "I never really asked anyone, but I played some with Jordan Spieth. Everyone knows where to go but he had an actual plan for each pin."

Spieth had recently opened up on his poor form in 2023 in what he described as a ' weird ' past year. Last month, he told reporters: "I didn't really take anything from TPC Sawgrass. I kind of look back to Bay Hill and think, okay, where am I really at, because I never really know leaving Sawgrass. It just - same stuff. I'm not doing anything different.
