Jonathan Ross criticized for referring to Cillian Murphy as British

Unfortunately, when it comes to Irish people enjoying success on the world stage, there will inevitably be some sort of jab coming our way, whether intentional or not. Ross was hosting the ITV coverage of the ceremony over in the UK and, not one to shy away from controversial comments, was called out for constantly referring to Cillian Murphy as British . During his duties, Ross referred to Murphy as British multiple times, much to the outrage of everybody watching.

“Who has ever thought Cillian Murphy was British?? LMAO, Jonathan Ross is off his rocker,” said one viewer.
