John Bishop News

Galway,Comedy

Thankfully it was taken in jest, and it led to a heart-warming moment backstage

John Bishop was performing stand-up comedy at a gig in Galway recently where he had a hilarious and heart-warming interaction with an elderly fan which ended in him apologising before landing a ruthless joke.

After beginning the conversation by asking her name, she replied "Francis", and this was the start of the hilarity. "Oh Jesus, Francis you're 92 and you've come to my show. I've used the 'C' word twice in the first five minutes," John said as the crowd laughed. "I feel like I need to go to confession. I feel so terrible, I'm so sorry and thank you for coming."
