Jesy Nelson joined Polydor last year, with her having released debut single Boyz through the UK-based record label - but it's now been confirmed that the singer has decided to leave the label

Jesy Nelson has parted ways with record label Polydor after just over a year as part of its roster of talent, with her now looking to "move in a new direction" with her music career.

The musician - who was a member of Little Mix from 2011 to 2020 - is no longer listed on Polydor's website as one of its artists, who currently include ABBA and Madonna. A source within the industry said Jesy and the UK-based record label have been on good terms, but commented that they had been "going in different directions" recently.

The source added she has "enjoyed her time with Polydor" - which is part of the Universal Music Group - but that she wants to pursue her own creative ideas for her career.
