The domestic abuser will be housed with other locked up ex gardai

Jailed former garda Paul Moody is expected to be moved from the high-security Midlands Prison to Arbour Hill to serve out his sentence.

Two former members of An Garda Siochana are currently serving sentences at Arbour Hill, which primarily houses long-serving inmates and those considered low risk. The ex-gardai, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are not considered to pose a danger to staff or other inmates and Moody, 42, looks set to join them.The Dublin lock-up counts serial killer and rapist John Shaw, Ireland’s longest serving prisoner, and killer David Lawlor among its inmates.

The court heard how during one 14-hour period, Moody sent her 652 messages, one every 90 seconds, describing her as “riddled with cancer”.
