Jacob Stockdale 'outnumbered' at home after welcoming second child with wife

The Ireland and Ulster rugby player welcomed his first child, Phoebe, with wife Hannah in 2022, while baby Bonnie was born last month.

“Rugby felt like the most important thing in the world. Then Phoebe came along and changed my perspective on things,” he said. Jacob doesn’t know if Phoebe and Bonnie will be future rugby stars but is happy to support them in whatever they decide to do.“Professional sport can be pretty brutal at times and I suppose when you play sport at the level I do, you’re thrust into the public eye.

“So there were other things I could give my energy to, which I think helped to a certain degree, to minimise the frustration and disappointment.Jacob has since fully recovered and is enjoying this season with Ulster. He was not picked for this year’s Six Nations squad, but is immensely proud of what the players achieved.
