Is RTE's Tommy Tiernan married? Comedian's secretive family life with six kids

The comedian captured the hearts of TV viewers with his enthralling interviews on Saturday nights.The 52-year-old, who played loveable dad Jerry in Derry Girls, is married to Yvonne McMahon. The pair tied the knot in August 2009 at a ceremony in Co Monghan.

Speaking about his modern family arrangement, Tiernan said: “It's not familiar, put it that way. Most people in the country grew up in one family,” he told the Irish Independent.“I'm not at the head, the mothers are at the head, I'm more like the mischievous lieutenant, whom people don't really trust or listen to.Yvonne hosted popular podcast "The Couch with Yvonne Tiernan" and has managed and performed with bands such as The Chieftains, The Grey Willows and The Raines.

The comedian had three children with long-term girlfriend Jayme Street before marrying Yvonne Mahon in 2009.“I don’t think I’ve ever recovered from splitting up with my first family. That’s always a tough thing," he explained.
