Dublin man dressed as Elvis ties the knot outside workplace after Covid ruined original plans

A Dublin couple tied the knot last week outside their workplace after Covid-19 saw their original plans scrapped.

Loved up Martin Beirne, 53, and Elaine McDonnell, 47, had planned to get married in Fuerteventura on July 1 in front of more than 100 friends and family but instead, said I do in front of MB Energy Services in Tallaght where they both work. And in a quirky twist, Martin donned an Elvis Presley outfit for the big day - as can be seen in pictures.

Martin’s daughter Ciara said: “The happy couple are going to have a second more intimate ceremony on the rooftop of their apartment in Tallaght Village on July 25 with a meal afterwards with close friends and family. “While it was not what they had planned for their wedding, they have learnt to adjust and make the most out of the situation we have all been faced with.”
