Irish based crime thriller Calm with Horses is also shortlisted for Outstanding British Film and Best Casting

Irish stars Barry Keoghan and Niamh Algar and Cartoon Saloon’s Wolfwalkers are among the British Academy Film Awards nominees.

And after missing out on a Golden Globe last week, Wolfwalkers, from Kilkenny’s Cartoon Saloon and Luxembourg’s Melusine Productions, is shortlisted for Best Animated Film. Chadwick Boseman has received a posthumous Bafta nomination for his performance as an ambitious trumpeter in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
