Cork singer beats Dermot Kennedy and Ed Sheeran to top of iTunes chart

A Cork musician has beaten Dermot Kennedy and Ed Sheeran to the top of the singer-songwriter chart on iTunes.

Following a successful year in 2019, Dan's new song is sure to follow in the footsteps of previous releases. The 25-year-old has been working in the music industry in Dublin for the past five years and his latest hit begins with the controversial line, "I don't think you're the prettiest girl alive".He said: "The song is an inside joke between myself and a girl I was seeing.

"The initial joke of the song resolves before the songs end, as I reveal to her that I do in fact think she's the 'prettiest girl alive'."
