Irish people happier and reporting higher levels of enjoyment than at any other point in 2021

Image: Shutterstock/Antonio Guillem Image: Shutterstock/Antonio Guillem IRISH PEOPLE ARE reporting levels of enjoyment and happiness not yet seen in 2021, with a new poll showing that the highest proportion of the public now believes the worst of the pandemic is now over.

Each week, respondents are asked on a scale of 1 to 7 to what extent they follow the recommendations set out by health officials. The last time polling showed these levels of enjoyment or happiness was on 21 December, when 47% and 34% of respondents reported feeling those emotions respectively. As in other weeks, respondents were asked to rate their feelings of worry related to the coronavirus on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is ‘not at all worried’ and 10 is ‘extremely worried’.

👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Compared to what ? And it’s only March. And no one asked me!

It ain't April fools day yet..?!?!😠😡😠😡 Please stop pedalling this fake PR spin..!!

The journal have no shame. No shame.

You might want to 'fact check' that as nobody I've talked to are happy at the moment bar the pro lockdown loonies

Lolz

'Happier than at any other time in 2021'.......Now that's a low bar. They clearly didn't ask anyone who works in Travel, Tourism or Hospitality because the outlook there is more bleak than ever.

I think the Journal omitted the word Sector after Public in the headline

This is beyond belief! No-one I know is feeling increasing levels of happiness and enjoyment.. Where do they find the people for these surveys? No-one I know has Ever been surveyed either covid19 lockdown BringBackNormal

By any chance did you ask them when the sun was out?

Fianna Fail is bringing happiness and enjoyment to the whole nation. Vote Fianna Fail for continued happiness and enjoyment.

Give me a break

It's all thanks to Fianna Fail been back in government.

this is frankly a bit puzzling, it must be the idea of an end in sight, as it's not what most people admit to!

Well it is the same shite but more sun and a bit warmer. Less miserable not happier

Wow! Even by the low standards of the Journal......

Dystopian shit. Don't give this Government shilling website your clicks folks.

These people at this paper need to be flogged

The 1's w civil service salaries or anytime of salary at all left I'd imagine, not sure who the survey was circulated to or what type of leading questions were asked but reckon some decent scrutiny would dispute these findings Ah see it is a Dept of Health funded survey!🤣🤣🤣🤣

What planet are yous on? 🌎

Its March lads and let's be honest the bar wasn't that high ffs.😆😆😂😂

Would you get the fuck down off me with that shite.

Okay Irish Pravda

not really known for your fact checking are you

Any other point in 2021? What? It's spring

That Irish people in New Zealand...!?!

Who the hell are you lot surveying?

Such bullshit👍

Truly dystopian drivel. A government paid for poll found a minority of people reported feelings of enjoyment in recent days, with an even smaller minority of people also reporting feelings of happiness. JournalismMatters LockdownIreland COVID19ireland

Eh who are these people? I am miserable 😖

Sure, war is peace, lies are truth etc. What a load of horse manure

Were these Irish people who emigrated this year?

Take the article down ffs, it’s an insult to anyone with a functioning brain. Pathetic, crawling propaganda. What favours are being called in for publishing this crap?

In a Dept. Of Health funded poll 🙄

Huh?

I think the survey was parents with 5 kids under the age of 10 heading back to school Monday 😆😆😆

what fucking BULLSHIT!

That makes me want to unsubscribe

Would the Journal like to run one of their now infamous fact checks on this please? False

Clickbait bullshit

They clearly only polled the lockdown freaks. Every single person I know cannot wait to get out of this living hell, and the sooner the better. The Journal is a mortifying embarrassment to this country.

Emmm maybe we're just all drunk at this stage That's the only explanation in fairness...

are you fucking high the country is miserable
