Doting Irish parents of premature surrogatetwins are asking friends to help with mounting hospital costs in the Ukraine instead of giving baby presents.
Emma and Kevin , who live in Drogheda, Co. Louth are currently in the Ukraine where they are only allowed to see their new babies for one hour a day. “I had polycystic ovaries and hormonal issues as a teenager so I always knew I’d have trouble conceiving. “On the six week scan, they discovered two little heartbeats and we were over the moon but it was still nerve wrecking to try and follow the pregnancy from Ireland, even though we tried to get over for as many scans as we could.”
“We are only allowed to see them for one hour a day, which is really hard but we don’t mind as long as they are getting stronger.” “The house at home is already bursting with baby clothes and toys so we reluctantly decided to ask our friends and family, if they want to, to donate to the hospital costs instead of giving the babies presents.”
