Lawyers representing the Dublin Fire Brigade firefighter charged with raping a woman in Boston during the St Patrick’s festival weekend have said he will “do everything” to clear his name.
Mr Crosbie was charged on March 18 in the Central Division of Boston Municipal Court with raping a woman at the historic Omni Parker House hotel in Boston on Friday, March 15. His law firm is vowing to fight the allegations, saying he is a family man with a wife and young children and does not deserve high bail.
“This is a man, Bob, who has never been in trouble before - has no prior record, has never been in jail. Here he is, in a jail cell with no ability to make bail, really in a situation that is arguably punitive for somebody who has the presumption of innocence,” Bailey said.
