Award winning Irish movie director, Jim Sheridan , is to make a movie on the Sophie Toscan du Plantier murder.
The movie documents the trials and tribulations between the jurors and 11 out of 12 are initially convinced of the young man's guilt. Sheridan has not revealed which actors he wants to play Ian Bailey or Sophie. He has argued for a long time that Ian Bailey was innocent and that there was never enough hard evidence to convict him of the murder.
His former long time lover, artiste Jules Thomas also stood by him and argued he was not capable of killing anyone even though he had physically assaulted her in the past.But most of the evidence heard was based on hearsay and would not have been allowed in an Irish court of law.
