Two arrested in Galway after driver tests positive for two drugs while in car with €21,000 of cocaine

A motorist tested positive for two drugs while sitting in a car with more than €20,000 worth of cocaine in Co Galway.

The driver of the car failed a roadside intoxication test, which showed he had opiates and cannabis in his system.The two occupants were arrested and the car and drugs were seized. A garda tweet said: "Galway RPU on #Covid19 patrol stopped the driver of the car, and arrested them on suspicion of drug driving."Car seized and both arrested. Proceedings to follow."
