Ireland weather forecast: Met Eireann predict rain to continue for the next few days

Ireland is set to feel more like autumn than July with temperatures to stay slightly lower. It comes after strong winds battered the country on Sunday when a status yellow warning was in place for 17 counties.

A forecaster added: “Cloud will thicken from the Atlantic later in the night with outbreaks of rain pushing into Atlantic coastal counties towards morning.Tuesday will be wet but thankfully, it will become clearer by the evening with the mercury staying in the mid teens. “However it does look like the rain will become patchier by the evening, with parts of north Ulster becoming dry.Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it will clear up a great deal by mid-week, with showery weather still expected.
