Three buses carrying International Protection Applicants were escorted to Crooksling near Tallaght in Dublin this morning where they have been promised safe accommodation.

"Robust, weatherproof tents," food and toilet and shower facilities are being provided at the site 20 kilometres from where they had been camping near the International Protection Office, according to the Government.Shortly after arriving many asylum seekers were waiting at the nearby bus stop to return to the city centre for appointments.

Another man, Dia Muhammed, said he was very happy to be in Crooksling after seven days sleeping near the IPO. One man was holding a letter that was handed out to those in tents this morning saying they were committing an offence by being there and faced arrest if they did not leave.
