At approximately 2.05pm, police were informed that a dog was in distress whilst locked in a parked car in the Wellington Road area of Enniskillen.
The window of the vehicle was broken by a member of the public in order to retrieve the distressed animal, which was taken to a local vet, where it was pronounced dead.Guidelines from the ISPCA on how to keep animals safe in hot weather can be viewed on the ISPCA website
