Infant girl sustains serious injuries during assault in Meath | JOE.ie

An infant girl received serious injuries during an assault that took place in Ashbourne in Meath on Monday morning. Gardaí are currently investigating the assault, which also resulted in a female in her 20s sustaining minor injuries. The infant girl was taken to Temple Street Children’s University Hospital following the incident; her injuries are not life-threatening.

A male in his 20s was arrested under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and is currently being detained in Ashbourne Garda Station.
