On Friday, May 10, we will be celebrating female success in business at the IMAGE PwC Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2024. We are fortunate to be ab

le to do this in Ireland and believe it is important for us to support other women across the world who do not have this opportunity this year; women who are facing daily life-threatening challenges and adversity.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is catastrophic, with women and children experiencing daily violence as the risk of famine is increasing everyday. More than half the population are experiencing extreme hunger and one in six children under the age of two are suffering from acute malnutrition. To support those affected in the region, PwC Ireland is donating €10,000 to the Irish Red Cross humanitarian appeal for Gaza. We are inviting attendees and supporters of the IMAGE PwC Businesswoman of the Year Awards to also support the Irish Red Cross and make their donationsAs a neutral organisation, the Irish Red Cross focus within Gaza is strictly limited to its ongoing response to the existing humanitarian crisis in the region.

According to the Irish Red Cross: “PwC Ireland’s support, along with donations made to the Irish Red Cross by attendees of the IMAGE PwC Businesswoman of the Year Awards, will absolutely save lives. Due to the continued violence in the area, support like this is deeply appreciated. Your donations enable the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to provide urgently required food, shelter, water and medical aid, in Northern Gaza to nearly 700,000 people in desperate need.
