Hundreds of migrants stormed the border separating Spain's Melilla enclave from Morocco today, the first such attempted mass crossing into the territory since the two nations mended diplomatic ties in March

Melilla and Ceuta, Spain's other tiny North African enclave, have the European Union's only land borders with Africa, making them a magnet for migrants.

In March this year, Spain ended a year-long diplomatic crisis by backing Morocco's autonomy plan for Western Sahara, going back on its decades-long stance of neutrality. The row began when Madrid allowed Brahim Ghali, leader of Western Sahrara's pro-independence Polisario Front, to be treated for Covid-19 in a Spanish hospital in April 2021.

Rabat calls for the Western Sahara to have an autonomous status under Moroccan sovereignty but the Polisario wants a UN-supervised referendum on self-determination as agreed in a 1991 ceasefire agreement.

'Migrants' is generous

Violent illegal migration.

Sure bring them on to Ireland, according to DarraghOBrienTD we won't be capping any migrants so we can take them all.. ya know because we have so many houses and so much tax euros to waste, we can handle it.. for all you lefty morons I am being sarcastic btw

Why bother, sure get on a boat to Ireland and DarraghOBrienTD will get them a free house.

Build Back Better.

Violent 'migrants' from sub-Saharan Africa... That's just what we need more of in Europe. It's long past time that Spain got serious about defending its borders. Either that or just get the hell out of Africa.
