HSE chief Paul Reid issues stark reminder to young people ahead of weekend

The CEO of the HSE has issued a stark reminder to young people that they're transmission of the virus could claim the life of someone else.On Thursday, the Department of Health announced six more coronavirus deaths and 23 new cases - 77% of which were in people under the age of 25.

Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn said all new infections reported on Thursday were in those under 45 - the first time health officials have seen that statistic. Professor Phillip Nolan, Chair of the NPHET Irish Epidemiological Modelling Advisory Group, revealed that there has been an increase in the number of cases over the last two weeks.
