The call follows an incident on the Kildare to Newbridge line this morning that led to lengthy delays for commuters travelling in and out of Heuston station.
An overnight attack by vandals on signalling equipment paralsyed the services to and from Heuston leaving hundreds of people late for work and appointments in the city. Iarnród Éireann apologised for delays of up to an hour and half hours for commuters coming from Galway and elsewhere - as they tried to deal with the latest robbery on their line.
There was also disruption for those travelling through the Phoenix Park tunnel into Grand Canal Dock. Update: Signalling issues have now been rectified. Delays into Heuston up to 50 minutes remain due to congestion of incoming services. These are expected to ease throughout the morning https://t.co/ovXuSXx30f

What do you call a hiace full of copper?
Copper dealers. An honorable group.
And stolen catalytic convertors!!🤬🤬
It wasn’t vandalism, and shouldn’t be reported as such . It was the lads with the string vests , fuzzy heads and pot bellys who were stealing the copper wire , before they were rumbled . Surely any sniffer dog would find them as they leave a very strong scent.
But it's our culture boss . Wann by a dag ?
It's part of their culture
These must have been the boyeens Leo was on about standing up for? those that get up early in the morning?
