Bono took to the stage of Dublin's Olympia Theatre last night for a rare solo outing to promote his new autobiography 'Surrender: 40 Songs, 40 Stories'.
Given the fact that Dublin is the U2 frontman's hometown, tickets for the performance - which is the smallest venue on his book tour - were snapped up within minutes. Michael D. Higgins, Taoiseach Micheal Martin, Tanaiste Leo Varadkar and Charlie Bird were some of the luminaries in attendance - but if you're looking for footage of the show, you won't find it online.
The gig used Yondr technology - which meant that everyone in attendance had to place their phones in a sealed pouch for the duration of the show.Until then, you'll get a flavour of what the show was like below - and stay tuned for our own review...
