Mr Harris was also briefed by King Abdullah on Jordanian efforts to secure an end to the conflict and to “create a context for peace in the region”, including contacts between the king and other regional leaders and the king’s discussions with US president Joe Biden in Washington last week. The Taoiseach also congratulated the king on his silver jubilee. The 25th anniversary of his accession to the throne will be formally marked on June 9th.
