Now in its fifth year, Aldi is calling on adventure seekers, innovators and creative suppliers to take part in the, giving successful candidates a chance to have their products on the shelves of the company’s 149 stores nationwide.
In partnership with Bord Bia, the aim of programme is to help businesses grow and learn more about taking their products further. Those selected will each receive tailored mentoring and bespoke workshops with the Aldi Buying and Marketing teams, as well as Bord Bia technical experts.
Previous products that have come through the programme and become staples on the shelves include Cookie Dó, Woodfire and Green sauces and Blackcastle Farm beef sausages. Gillian Willis, Bord Bia Small Business Manager highlights the important role Grow with Aldi plays in supporting local businesses, stating;"
Recent research from the Bord Bia Thinking House has shown that more and more Irish consumers are making conscious decisions to buy locally sourced products, so having the Grow with Aldi programme support some long-term success stories plays an important role in showcasing the innovative products that we as a small nation can create".
