Taoiseach Micheál Martin has promised that the Government will examine ways to 'try to ease the pressure on people' facing increased road toll charges next year

The Taoiseach has promised that the Government will examine ways to"try to ease the pressure on people" facing increased road toll charges next year.

"There are issues obviously that Eamon has highlighted in terms of the independent nature of TII but we will see what we can do to try and ease pressure on people," Mr Martin said. "Most of the tolling operators are independent, they are not owned or directed by the Government," he said. Responding, Minister Ryan said that if this were to happen, toll operators would have to be compensated.

How about abolish tolls since our road tax is supposed to be used for their upkeep as it is? Thieves.

The government bought the M50 toll bridge from the private company that owned it for €650 million some years ago.....With hundreds of cars going through the tool every hour...Is the Taoiseach saying they are making a loss and have to increase their prices....

I've a way. How about all of you generously take a pay cut and use that money to ease the pressure. Every single politician only gets 100k a year. Nothing more. If they want more they have to put in the work

I suppose it's better than killing your population with a poison vaccine.

If only there was some way that the government could lower taxes and stop dumping hordes of unemployable foreigners on us to pay for... Dreams!
