Don't our children have the constitutional right to an education ? Will the year be extended into the summer so the kids get the education they should ? How will primary schoold kids be educated with two working parents ? What is the actual risk ? Should teachers get PUP ?

This is the 'mixed' messaging. Students have to travel to school. Public transport. Parents. Teachers. So multiply their interactions (student) by 48 people per day (average) x 61,000 x three days a week. It's a scary figure. That's some risk analysis!

60-70% more transmissible and yesterday an example of Kent in the UK had social distancing measures in place yet it was ineffective to stopping the spread of the virus. Yet the government still believe that schools are safe for 60,000 students
Probably due to the lovely Irish people who blatantly ignored travelling recommendations and went to and from the UK, even heading to Belfast and bussing it down. They only thought of themselves - thanks for carrying this in, and destroying hundreds and maybe thousands of lives.
This new variant adds 0.7 to R according to UK research. The implication of this needs to be realised rather quickly.
