This evening, when asked by reporters why the evidence of the links between pubs and Covid was not being published, Dr Glynn said: In a letter to Government on Tuesday, acting Chief Medical Officer Ronan Glynn said that “internationally, there have been a number of examples of outbreaks of Covid-19 in bars”.
“One thing that we do know is that pubs are open over six weeks. There have been very few cases in pubs and certainly no clusters,” he said.Three weeks ago, areas of concern were highlighted in Direct Provision centres and meat processing plants, he said.
