Gogglebox Ireland star opens up about secret battle with eating disorder that led her to leave show

A Gogglebox Ireland star has opened up about her secret battle with an eating disorder that led her to bow out of the show.

Opening up about her own experience, the 25-year-old mental health advocate said: “In 2017, I had just finished college. I had graduated and everyone was telling me you are so lucky you have everything ahead of you. “My relationship with food, exercise, body image and weight and everything like that was kind of monopolising most of my time and thoughts and it had been there for a few years.

“Then it got to a point which was really sad where I was so sick and I did not want to change and I just blatantly did everything in front of my parents, my friends and said 'you can’t stop me'.And in the midst of widespread conversation of the ‘Covid stone’ and weight gain throughout the pandemic, she explained how damaging that attitude can be.
