Ger Brennan was full of praise for Louth's Craig Lennon after he stole the show with a two-goal brace against Meath on Saturday.

LOUTH manager Ger Brennan heaped on the praise for Wee County hero Craig Lennon after his sparkling two-goal salvo settled 49 years of anguish against Meath.“He’s certainly playing with a lot of confidence and is a guy who has had multiple injuries. The work he puts in behind the scenes with the medical team is second to none.“I’m delighted for him and his family.

“The performance was very poor and we got the result from a very poor performance. No complaints. Louth were very good, really out-fought us.” “It’s a super achievement for the group,” Brennan finished. “It’s about winning, be it by one point or whatever it finished up. It was important that we got the win to build on the success of the previous management.
