Taoiseach Leo Varadkar played down departures in weekend interview but rumours persist that Simon Coveney will move to Cork East

Fine Gael Cork East TD and former junior justice minister David Stanton has confirmed that he will not run in the next general election.In a statement, Stanton said he informed his local colleagues last night at the Fine Gael Cork East AGM that he would stand down at the next election.
