Gareth Southgate has turned to Burnley's James Trafford, with the young goalkeeper receiving a call-up to the England squad.
Jordan Pickford has established himself as the clear No 1 during the Southgate era but a number of other goalkeepers have been included in the squads and received call-ups during that period. Some have stuck around more than others, with certain names coming as a surprise. Pope is the goalkeeper, after Pickford and Hart, to have been given the most caps by Southgate. He is among those who have had people call for him to get promoted to first choice, especially when Pickford has endured difficult spells at club level with England.
Other goalkeepers have been far less permanent in the Southgate era, some rewarded for impressive spells. Jack Butland enjoyed a period where he was in and around the England set-up but he hasn't been involved for some years and moved to Rangers in the summer after years sitting on the bench.
