After a major crackdown on drink and drug driving at a checkpoint in Limerick on Friday, officers now remind vehicle owners that driving under the influence of either can result in losing their licence.
In a post on Twitter, gardai wrote: “Garda Roads Policing units are out in strength this weekend. If you are planning on having a drink, remember - alcohol & driving do not mix.According to Irish law, the legal limit for fully licensed drivers is 50 milligrammes of alcohol per 100ml of blood.
