Sources say detectives in Blackrock, south Dublin mounted raids last Wednesday — and seized luxury items worth more than €350,000

Gardai have smashed a Chinese gang that was laundering its crime cash — by buying designer gear in Dublin.

We have learned that the gang — that is active in the cannabis trade as well as human trafficking — is living in several houses in plush south county Dublin that have been bought with money sent from mob bosses in China. Sources have told us that detectives in Blackrock, south Dublin mounted raids last Wednesday — and seized luxury items worth more than €350,000.

A Garda spokesman confirmed that detectives from Blackrock had carried out a search in the area last Wednesday.
