Gardai close road after early morning horror crash

The single vehicle smash took place on the R261 road between Mass and Portnoo and outside of Glenties. It is understood local emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident around 6am.

Gardai have set up a traffic management system in the area which includes road diversions. It is expected that those diversions will remain in place for most of the day. There is no update on the condition of the driver involved in the accident or if anyone else was hurt in the collision. Gardai remain at the scene and say it is an "ongoing incident."
