Gardai arrest 11 people after violent clashes break out at anti-mask protests in Dublin city

Gardai have arrested 11 people after clashes broke out at an anti-mask demonstration in Dublin today.

A number of clashes could be seen breaking out on Grafton Street as gardai attempted to subdue a number of protesters.No injuries were reported and gardai say the rest of the group dispersed from the area "without serious incident".Gardai have no launched an investigation to find out who the organisers of the event were and will seek advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions on what further action should be taken.

"A full Garda operation was in place from early afternoon as the protestors assembled at O'Connell Bridge and later moved to East Wall Road and onto Grafton Street.
